The AA Visiting School is a platform created by the AA to further extend this engagement and to learn from the realities of today’s highly distributed,global architectural culture. Since its launch in January 2008 in Dubai with a small design workshop led by AA tutors and a brilliant group of local partners and supporting networks, the AA Visiting School has grown into a worldwide programme of short courses, design and research workshops of extraordinary depth, quality and learning.

The academic activities of ZHA|CODE ( Zaha Hadid Architects Computation and Design Group) serves as a platform for various professional and academic partners to collaborate, apply exciting and contemporary research to address locally relevant issues and to understand and assimilate traditional wisdom. This professional design-research group has been active within ZHA for 5 years and been involved in various pedagogic and research collaborations across the world.

In Chennai this year , we are excited to form a new association with MIDAS School of Architecture , India ,who will be our local host institute and partner. We are equally thrilled to continue our collaboration with BSB architects , who have been instrumental in the success of the previous versions.

Midas School of Architecture, headed by Prof.Jaffer Khan, in a short time has emerged as one of the key players in architectural education in South India. The school is based on a teaching methodology which is conceptualized in such a manner that students are exposed to experiential and experimental learning environments.

BSB architects are are a team of professionals in planning and architecture operating from Mysore since 1987, at Bangalore from 2003, represented at London since 2004.The team is led by Dr. B. S. Bhooshan, an architect and planner, with over 30 years of experience in planning, design, teaching, research and consultancy. He has been a consultant to United Nations and a visiting Professor at various universities and colleges.
